[Full disclosure] I align with the greenest version of Jim Carey. No, this actor isn’t famous for being ecofriendly, but is more known for his memorable role as the Grinch. Similar to this fella, I don’t fancy holiday carols, strin g lights, and gaudy figurines of Santa.
In retrospect, I enjoy giving. You could say that my heart grows three sizes when I admire one of my favorite people unwrapping a shoe box to reveal something of their liking. My intent is to replicate this feeling for you.
Stocking stuffers for any dental student:
1. Caffeinated liquids. Cold brew, Redbull, kombucha, etc. Did someone mention a coffeehouse gift card?
2. Blue light blocking glasses. Zoom calls won’t be going away anytime soon.
3. Cozy attire. Hello wool slippers, heated blankets, and joggers.
4. #7 wax spatula. Partially a joke, partially the best tool made for wax ups and setting denture teeth.
My immediate family and I gift one present to each other and choose one charity to be donated to. I must say that the latter is incredibly fulfilling.
[Full disclosure] I resonate with Cindy Lou Who’s beliefs on gift gifting during the holidays. She is correct in that we should try to focus less on the presents and festivities and more on the personal relationships we have built.
