Hello, from Chicago! The Midwestern-Illinois ASDA chapter is nestled in the well-kept suburb of Downers Grove and is home to 520 active members! Our campus is split in two, D1-D2 students have class and simulation lab on campus, while D3-D4 students practice at the clinic. Our chapter hopes to bridge this gap with events that not only encourage involvement in organized dentistry but cross-class mentorship and support. Our members are offered the ability to attend national and local trips, dinner and learns, vendor fair, socials, and wellness events. In hopes of increasing pre-dental involvement, an established annual predental day is one of our more recent successes. MWU ASDA membership is sponsored by local affiliates including ISDS, TDIC, and CDMI, for whom we cannot thank enough. Our membership is at an all-time high, we’ve recently received our first ever Gold-Crown Award at the 2020 Annual Session for Outstanding Wellness, and we look forward to a bright future as a chapter.
