As the only dental school in Wisconsin, Marquette ASDA has a strong commitment to ensuring the well-being and success of dental students both in and out of the classrooms and clinics. Our chapter provides countless opportunities for and emphasizes the importance of, advocacy, leadership, health and wellness, community engagement, networking, and education to enhance the dental school experience and lay a foundation for our future careers. Beyond that, organized dentistry is the backbone of what ASDA is all about, and Marquette ASDA is no exception when it comes to advocating for dental students, patients, providers, and the profession as a whole. Between our 14 unique committees, our members are offered the opportunity to participate in numerous chapter events to escape the stress of dental school, some favorites include Mr. Molar, ‘Bark’ Madness, Volleyball, and Beanbag Tournaments, and Family Feud. Our members are also given the chance to attend district and national ASDA conferences each year. This year, we are excited to introduce our new Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee with the hope of developing an even more inclusive dental school experience for all. We are very fortunate that our school’s administration, faculty, staff, and students support the forward momentum of Marquette ASDA and look forward to continuing that into the future!
